Our program is named Lifelong Weight Loss because our intent is to help you lose weight and keep it off by changing your lifestyle and eating habits for good. Unlike other programs, ours is not based on a diet; we teach you how to eat healthy and make wise food choices on a daily basis. We are also unlike most programs in that we do not do group visits or use NPs/PAs. Every patient sees Dr. Mathur individually for a personalized wellness plan based on their specific needs and biochemistry.
Additionally, we do not use "fat-burning" supplements or hormones because these have not proven to help with weight loss and can have dangerous side effects. We base all of our recommendations on scientific research.
Finally, Dr. Mathur uses principles and techniques learned from Dr. Allen Rader, an obesity medicine specialist and founder of Medical Bariatrics of America. Dr. Rader’s program has helped thousands of individuals lose over half a million pounds. His research has shown better long-term results than Atkins, Optifast, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, and Nutrisystem.
